Under the SAG-AFTRA Commercials Contract, meal penalties are triggered when specific timing requirements are violated:

  • First meal must be provided within 6 hours of first call
  • Succeeding meals must be provided within 6 hours of end of last meal
  • Meal periods must be at least 30 minutes and no more than 1 hour...
